Char N' Sizzle (“we,” “us”) runs a recipe site and related videos about wood-fired cooking and wild game. This policy explains what information the site collects and how it is used.

• Contact. If you email us or use a form on the site, we receive your name, email address, and whatever you write in the message. We use that only to reply.

• Comments. If comments are enabled, the comment, the name you submit, and the time of the comment are stored with the post.

• Usage data. Our host and ordinary server logs may record your IP address, browser type, device, pages viewed, and the time of the visit. We use this to keep the site working and to see which recipes are read.

• Cookies. The site may set cookies needed to run the page, remember a preference, or measure traffic. You can block cookies in your browser. Some parts of the site may not work as well if you do.

• We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

• We do not require an account to read recipes.

YouTube “Subscribe” and episode links go to our channel on YouTube (@CharNSizzle). Watching, subscribing, or commenting there is governed by Google’s privacy policy, not this one. We do not receive your YouTube password or payment information.

We use information to publish and improve the site, reply to messages, understand which pages are used, and protect the site from abuse. We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

 

Who We Share It With

 

We use service providers who process data only to run the site:

• Wix hosts the site and stores pages, forms, and comments.

• Google / YouTube hosts our videos and receives data when you follow a link to YouTube.
   

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the site and its users. If we add an email newsletter, analytics product, or ad network, we will name it here before we use it to collect information.

How Long We Keep It

Messages are kept long enough to handle the request, then deleted unless we need them for a record. Comments stay with the post until you ask us to remove them or we take the post down. Server logs are kept for a limited period by our host.

Email us to access, correct, or delete contact information or a comment you submitted. You can control cookies in your browser. YouTube account settings are handled in your Google account.
